On 4 June 2026, the partners of the CARE Project successfully held their first online meeting to discuss the upcoming activities aimed at promoting active ageing and encouraging senior citizens to adopt healthier and more active lifestyles through cycling.
During the meeting, partners reviewed the guidelines for the next phase of the project and exchanged ideas on the practical implementation of the cycling activities. Particular attention was given to participant safety, group management, and the integration of the CARE Café concept, which will provide opportunities for social interaction and community engagement during the cycling sessions.
The consortium also explored activities combining cycling with well-being and mindfulness practices, ensuring that all sessions are adapted to the needs and abilities of senior participants. These initiatives aim to create enjoyable and inclusive experiences that promote physical activity, social participation, and sustainable mobility.
As the project moves forward, local cycling sessions and community-based activities will be implemented across all partner countries, bringing together seniors and stakeholders to foster healthier, more active, and more connected communities.
The CARE partners remain committed to promoting active ageing and sustainable mobility and look forward to the next stages of the project.
