The CARE Project is delighted to welcome Technopolis Café in Athens as a new member of the CARE Café Network. Located within the iconic Technopolis cultural complex in the Gazi district, the café will serve as a welcoming meeting point for CARE participants and support the project’s cycling and community activities.
More Than a Coffee Stop
Within the CARE project, cafés are much more than places to enjoy a cup of coffee. CARE Cafés are designed as community hubs where older adults, volunteers and local residents can come together before and after cycling activities, rest during rides and enjoy meaningful social interactions.
By creating comfortable and accessible environments, the CARE Café Network strengthens the social dimension of the project and helps transform cycling into a shared community experience.
Supporting Active and Healthy Ageing
Cycling activities are not only about physical exercise. They are also about promoting wellbeing, reducing social isolation and creating opportunities for connection and participation. Through its collaboration with Technopolis Café, the CARE project continues to build spaces where older adults can feel welcome, supported and engaged.
Technopolis Café will provide participants with a pleasant environment where they can relax, exchange experiences and strengthen the sense of community that lies at the heart of the CARE initiative.
Building Connections, One Ride at a Time
The establishment of the CARE Café Network represents one of the innovative aspects of the project, bringing together cycling, social interaction and community engagement. As a central meeting point in Athens, Technopolis Café is expected to play an important role in supporting group rides and creating memorable experiences for participants.
Together, we are creating spaces that encourage active and healthy ageing, foster social connections and make every ride more enjoyable and inclusive.
Thank you, Technopolis Café, for joining the CARE community and supporting active ageing through cycling and community engagement.
